King Red, why on earth would anyone be obsessed by Utd's business plans ? You are basically a moneybox for the Glazers so you're bound to be trying to sell shirts in the far East. To be honest i don't care about FFP, we've won the title now so that's good enough for me
I see manchester city are making promotional moves in asia.... ive been saying to the berties for a while now, city are obessed by our business plans and will do all they can to emulate us..... the stick we get for having an asian market and looks who's jumping on the band wagon, whats up?? FFP getting a bit real now? break even requires the club to earn to spend, 24months of fun for me!!!
Good to see our strikers back on form and us making chances even down to 10 men. We're still not good at defending set pieces but Norwich are particularly good at these so it's sort of understandable. A good win though for sure.
@133I'm not so sure about predictability. I reckon this season isn't a 2 horse race & following intro of spend what you generate, that FFP or whatever, it may well clip some wings and rightly so.As for SPL, I think many expected it to be a formality which it isn't i.e. Celtic would have it sown up by Christmas. Despite being English, I do miss the old firm derby's. Newco should be back in time.
@134 CoachJeffI recall hearing that the Manager or asst Manager are 'contracted' to speak to TV interviewer with some TV companies as cash is involved (no surprise). That said, I wholly agree that goading Managers is pretty low especially immediately after a match.I'm all for video replays and mics. The replay takes seconds, takes pressure off the ref and maybe reduce simulations etc.
FA Respect. For this to happen needs two things.1/ TV should not be allowed to goad managers into making statements about referees decisions right after the game. Usually they are wrong.2/ Live video replay & ref mics.Everyone sees, everyone hears = everyone understands, (well except managers who don't want 'simulated' head butts and stamping to get a player red carded.)
The Premiership is actually becoming more predictable than the SPL..two clubs from the same place vying for the title same as last year, and no-one else anywhere near,at least there's two clubs in Scotland within 6 points of Celtic.
@109I think you'll find Bassong got a yellow for squaring up to Nasri & Nasri got a red for head butting because it wasn't a foul however many times you look at it. Great game though !!
@130Ballyboy63You should have put a full stop after your third word. Perhaps Nasri should have spit at Bassong and kissed the remainder of the season goodbye.Looking at the photo, Nasri might have just butted Bassong in his solar plexus. The gold medal still remains with Zidane for the gut butt.
Mancini doesn't understand the seriousness of a head butt - Nasri could have killed Bassong!
This comment was removed because it broke the house rules. Explain
Nasri what a fool!!!
Mancini really does make me feel ill. Horrible manager.
@123 tangled webbIf any one thing could dent their chance (single handedly) of retaining their title it will or would be Balotelli, putting other teams performances/results aside.I firmly believe the longer he stays, the higher the risk of destabilising the squad, unsettling individuals and a collective added to his unreliability factor. I care not how talented he allegedly is.
Coupla points.None of the city goals were offside. The ref got the Nasri sending off wrong. Though I can see why he made the decision, it should have been both off or neither. Finally, I don't think we got enough credit for a good win away from home against a decent team with 10 men for most of the match. After all, United couldn't beat them with 11.
122.in an infinite universe with infinite possibilities there is a galaxy somewhere with a man utd team supported by nice fans.Obviously it takes a giant leap of imagination but who knows?
Good performance from City, except smacked **** Nasri. Played well throughout. And justify their position as title favourites with this level of play especially Aguero.Could be a second title if they keep this up.
@121 daisy99In answer to your question, I suspect it's Mancini's mind set. I'm surehe'd debate/argue that black is white. You just have to placate him, humour him or ignore him. He feels the need to go through the motions even if it does make him look silly. There are obviously incidents that are worthy of an appeal but this isn't one of them.@120 What does your last sentence mean?
Cant understand why the city manager wants to appeal Nasri's red card...any idiot can see he is guilty as charged except one..I hope he appeals and gets this player an extra day off.
