Notts County 1-2 MK Dons

MK Dons held on to beat Notts County after scoring twice in the opening 13 minutes.

Darren Potter headed the visitors into a sixth-minute lead and Daniel Powell prodded home a second.

The Magpies were back in the game after the break when Shaun Williams fouled Alan Judge in the box and Jamal Campbell-Ryce scored the penalty.

Lee Hughes missed two chances to equalise, first losing his footing when one-on-one and then hitting the bar.

Notts County manager Keith Curle told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"We gave away easy goals, which is disappointing. We've got to mark better in our own box and the second one was poor defending on the edge of our box, allowing them to get a shot off.

"Normally we are very quick starters in games - today we didn't start well - we'll have a look at the preparation prior to the game, what was different, has anything changed?

"In the second half it was a fantastic performance. We needed a response at half-time and we created some good opportunities in the second half that we should have got something out of the game."
