Brechin recorded their sixth straight victory against Stranraer with a win at Stair Park.
Alan Trouten gave the visitors the lead with a 12th-minute penalty - his second goal in four days - after goalkeeper David Mitchell upended Andrew Jackson.
The advantage was almost doubled eight minutes later, but Derek Carcary saw his goal-bound effort tipped around the post.
Carcary was eventually able to get his name on the scoresheet after 62 minutes, when he found the top corner with a fine volley from inside the area.
Stephen Aitken's men pressed to get back into the game, and Sean Winter should have done better six minutes later when he missed the target when well-placed.
The Blues' final hopes of a comeback were dashed when Michael Andrews made an important low save to deny Winter, ensuring the Hedgemen eased to three points.
