Albion Rovers 2-3 Stranraer

Stranraer put further daylight between themselves and bottom side Albion Rovers with victory at Cliftonhill Stadium.

A brace from Christopher Aitken and a Ryan Borris goal were enough to secure the points.

Aitken smashed the visitors into an early lead with his effort from the edge of the box proving too good for Matthew McGinley in the Rovers goal.

David Crawford attempted an immediate response for the hosts but his effort from distance cleared the bar.

The lead was doubled inside 20 minutes when Michael Moore teed up Borris, who sent the ball high into the roof of the net.

Steven Howarth pulled one back for the hosts after the break before Aitken restored his team's two-goal advantage from the penalty spot with four minutes remaining

Moments later Anthony Stevenson fired in a free-kick for Rovers but the visitors held on.
