Gateshead have extended the loan deal for defender Paddy Boyle from Scottish First Division club Dunfermline Athletic until the end of the season.
Glasgow-born Boyle, 25, in an initial six-month agreement and has since made 21 appearances.
"I am pleased to get the situation sorted out," said Boyle.
"I got off to a slow start but have got into my stride. I am enjoying my football and wanted to stay."
Prior to moving into the Scottish leagues, the left-back began his career at Everton, but left without making a senior appearance.
He then spent time at Dumbarton, Partick Thistle and then Dunfermline, and also earned Scotland Under-19 honours.
