Mansfield moved to within three points off the play-off places as they came from a goal down to earn an away victory at Southport.
The home side took an early lead when a fine ball from Russell Benjamin found Shaun Whalley, who applied the finish.
Mansfield levelled when Adam Murray capitalised on confusion in the home defence to slot home from close range.
Lee Stevenson then coolly swept Matt Green's pass into the bottom corner from 20 yards to snatch the points.

Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"I've had the reaction that we wanted from the boys.
"We've come away to two really tough places - Stockport and Southport - we've worked extremely hard and come away with six points.
"Especially today, I think today was a big result. This place is hard enough to get a result at the best of times.
"With the uncertainty of the weather, the lads have been immense."
