I thought it was a Red Card. Thought he dived in recklessly but he didn't catch Wilshere badly. Can see both arguments. Buz - Every team is bring the game into disrepute. Man City (among a few others) paying their players unjustifiable amounts of money; Suarez (and a few others) diving and cheating; Ferguson (and others) shouting at officials and getting away with it. Don't point blame at one man.
The F A finally using common sense .Big Vinny is certainly not a dirty player and it was a fair tackle so all you swamp rats out there need to crawl back under your stones and concentrate on all your diving issues and your manager who keeps bringing the game in to disrepute......
Maksi, no probsHope you get back to the prem soon, always a good fixture to go to against Leeds
Thanks bud and you are pretty well sure that I, as a Leeds fan will be rooting your team on against you know who, and am sure you will turn them over as you did last season. As ABUs go, I would be the King lol :))
Maksi, no probs mateI'm a fan of championship football too, and have watched alot of it as a blue. Best of luck for the rest of the season although I still haven't forgiven Leeds for hammering us in the cup once at Maine Rd, when you had Kewell, Bowyer etc
lol and thanks david for correcting my post mate.As a fan of Championship football we got a bit spoiled on Sunday with all the top games and I have managed to chuck 3 of those sides into one match on my post lol :)Thanks again
Maksi, Wilshere plays for Arsenal but I agree with everything else you said
hahaha all the experts on here who haven't a clue.As a Leeds fan who was totally neutral watching the Arsenal v Man City game I was furious by the red card given to Kompany. The Liverpool played slightly lost control of the ball whilst running at the defence at great pace, and what happened after that was one of the best pieces of defending/tackling you could ever hope to see.
That's 2 red cards overturned in just over a week, not sure who sits on this "independent panel" but good work chaps.
off topic but the laws resulting in Koscielny's sending off seems a harsh punishment. The opposing side gained a penalty and ironically a better scoring chance, gained a 1 man advantage for the rest of the game and the player/club receive a 3 match ban. I suggest that the law is changed such that if the offence is inside the box its a yellow card and a penalty, outside its a red card.
Good to see the FA are finally using their brain .. in some instances. It was never a red card, wasn't even a foul !!!I'm an Arsenal fan who understands football, as opposed to a chump who knows very little. It seems there are many of the latter posting on this story.
401. The first 4 letters of your name sum you upDidn't it even twig with you that it might not be a red when Wenger didn't complain about the tackle ?Take up watching another sport, you know nothing about football
NO NEED TO CONTEST it any longer boys and girls those heathens at the fa have rescinded his red card thereby proving that money is indeed the language of modern football......
