It irks me that NW believes he is doing a good job. A caretaker manager could have easily put out the same mixed results.Been a Leeds fan all my life and put up with terrible club management for decades. Hasn't changed much!
I think all the proper Leeds fans are saying the same thing. Pre-historic play-style, poor signings and no chance of a top 6 finish, As someone said, we'd be embarrassed by the likes of Swansea (no offence).Grayson was far better - was gutted when he got the toe. Leeds played some nice stuff too due to good signings despite lack of funds. It felt like we were building slowly but surely...
This is why I hate reading LUFC articles. Always a few good insights from fans of other clubs, but usually packed full of drivel spouted by the likes of 'romfordboy', who are determined to cause trouble on here and then cry about it afterwards.
Well, I don't think any honest Leeds fan should be particularly surprised. The Championship is a tough division now, with few easy games and no God given right to points. The teams that stay the pace are consistent, and work as a team. Right now we look disjointed, weak in the midfield and we definitely lack pace. The form says 'relegation', and so far mid table is all we deserve. Keep the faith!
He is deluding himself. If hoofball and buying your old mates is a good job, then I'd like to know what a bad job is. Never wanted him to be appointed (still want Grayson to be here) and was a terrible choice, we've only gone backwards playing pre-historic football with terrible signings. Doesn't believe in giving the youth a chance either. Give Redfearn/Naylor the job till the end of season.
He hasn't got a snowflake's chance in hell. GFH must be quaking in their boots, as our form under Warnock has plummeted to even greater depths since they took over. Mind you, they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory so far - total silence, no injection of funds and losing support rather than gaining it.DO SOMETHING QUICK OR WE'LL SINK!
Poor old Colin
Was against NW taking over in the first place and my worst fears have been realised. Dreadful football, no pace, no midfield and full of NW's old cronies. Yes he wasn't given sufficient resources but the team has gone backwards since he took over. His style of football has long past its sell be date and if he seriously believes he's doing a great job then he must be hearing voices.
Is it possible that old-school manager's like Warnock have simply had their day? Management can't be about hitting people over the head with a metaphorical stick anymore, players on such high wages develop ego's to match. Top class management these days needs to understand that getting the best out of anyone requires a combined massaging of the ego with the good old-fashioned hairdryer approach.
Success requires "on and off the pitch" to come together. Team, manager, owners- and supporters! LU have had problems in both depts for a long time. Its not fixed yet.Not least the supporters. Do other clubs have a nasty aggressive violent vociferous side too?
Im å cardiff fan, i'll pass the rivalry lol i think warnock is an excellent manager & to me this shows bit of confidence, leeds are top club & i wouldn't be Suprised if they make the play offs this season, but we all know what the championship is like lol
At this point, last season - played 27 - +5GD - 42 points - 9th place. The following week Leeds lost to Blackburn and Grayson was 'toast'. This is Colin's team, Colin's boys and Colin's tactics. His answer, after last weekend? - Oh, we just need a couple more new faces' - certainly - in the Manager's Office for one.
He did well getting Sheffield United promoted to the Premier League but he also got them relegated. And then he spent a fortune at QPR to get them promoted. The money they threw about for a championship side at the time was crazy. He then bought poor players in the Premier League and got the sack.
Warnock is doing a reasonable job with the squad that he's got, there's only so much talent available when he has no real funds (as yet). However it is not for him to say how well or how poorly he is doing, and when he does, he loses credibility.( And for info, I was born in Leeds and have been a LUFC fan since I could walk and talk.)
As I live New Zealand now it is hard to watch my club go from the great heights to what we are now. We need change we have to have a new direction . We were once a great club and I was proud to call my self a Leeds supporter. I don't know the answer but thinking saying , you are doing a great job when sliding down the table is, delusional.
Barkley is good, just goes to show the standard you need in the top division if he can't get a game with everton regular. We used to produce some real quality, now it seem to have dried up or is it a case of they don't suit the warnock way.
Doing a half decent job with players he's got but could be far better with a bit of imagination in our style and also playing players in the right positions! Why is peltier playing left back with aidy white sat on the bench? Peltier is much more comfortable at right back and byram is dangerous right midfield! We'd also be much more balanced! Barkelys a great signing too, need more of his standard!
