Wanderers grabbed the win thanks to Jean Moubeke's late goal after a run from his own half.
St Paul's remain six points behind leaders Jersey Scottish but now have just one game in hand.
Elsewhere, St Brelade are still in fourth spot after a 3-0 win over struggling St Lawrence, while Bradley Russell's hat-trick secured a 3-0 victory for Grouville against Rozel Rovers.
In Saturday's other top-flight game bottom-club St Ouen celebrated their first point of the season by securing a 1-1 draw at St Peter.
Meanwhile in the Championship Dale Vardy's hat-trick helped Beeches Old Boys to a 9-0 thrashing of mid-table Sporting Academics.
