Darije Kalezic began his tenure at Stockport with a win over fellow Blue Square Bet Premier strugglers Nuneaton.
Kalezic, who replaced Jim Gannon as County boss last week, saw his side go 2-0 ahead through early strikes from Connor Jennings and Danny Hattersley.
However Andy Brown poked home Adam Walker's cross to reduce the arrears, before Brown headed home the equaliser.
But Kalezic's side were not to be denied and Jon Nolan smashed home the winner from the edge of the box.
The win moves County five points clear of the relegation zone in 16th, while Nuneaton are three points from safety.
