Teenage striker Cole Stockton has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with Tranmere Rovers.
The 18-year-old will remain with the League One leaders until 2015.
Stockton made his debut for Rovers 12 months ago and has been more prominent at first-team level this term, scoring five times in 22 outings.
"We've seen glimpses of his talent this season and I believe there is a lot more to come from him," manager Ronnie Moore told the club website.
"He has a great attitude, wants to improve and has a bright future at the club."
Stockton added: "I'm really pleased with my new contract. I'm grateful to the manager for giving me this chance and hopefully I'll repay him and the club with my performances."
