Albion Rovers 0-1 Arbroath

Struggling Albion Rovers fell to defeat at home to play-off hopefuls Arbroath.

Home keeper Scott Morrison was called into action when he did well to tip over David Crawford's shot from six yards in the 15th minute.

Graham Bayne had a chance to put Paul Sheerin's side ahead but his tame effort cleared the crossbar from 18 yards.

However, Abroath did take the lead when defender Colin Hamilton struck from close range in the 35th minute.

Substitute Robert Winters dragged an effort wide of left-hand upright with 20 minutes remaining as Rovers pressed for an equaliser.

Euan Smith should have doubled the lead from the penalty spot in stoppage time but Ryan Scully saved well to his left to deny the midfielder.
