Nottingham Forest have appointed former Wolves and Blackburn coach Bobby Downes as the club's head of recruitment.
Downes, who has been part of Forest's scouting set-up, will work with manager Billy Davies and replaces Keith Burt who was sacked last month.
"I'm delighted to welcome Bobby to the club. It's great to have him as part of the family," Davies said.
Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi added: "Bobby brings a wealth of experience and we're very pleased to have him on board."
The appointment and exact details of the new post for Downes, 63, will be of interest to supporters, given Davies' dissatisfaction with the club's previous transfer acquisition group - of which Burt was part of.
Downes, who played more than 500 games for Peterborough, Rochdale, Watford, Barnsley and Blackpool, has extensive coaching experience and also had a spell as caretaker manager of Wolves.
