Derek Lyle netted twice as Queen of South thrashed 10-man Stranraer at Stair Park.
The runaway Scottish Division Two leaders went a goal up after 17 minutes when Paul Burns fired past David Mitchell from the edge of the area.
Things went from bad to worse for Stranraer seven minutes later when Mitchell was sent off for a professional foul on Doonhamers striker Nicky Clark in the penalty area.
Substitute goalkeeper Russell Cadwell's first job was to pick the ball out of the net after Ryan McGuffie had placed his spot-kick into the bottom right corner and Lyle added a third from 10 yards before half-time.
Clark found the top corner from the edge of the area on the hour before Lyle fired his second from 20 yards two minutes later to seal a comfortable derby victory.
