on 1 Mar 2013 01:24Sorry couldn't get back for a wee bit but I wasn't having a pop at the SPL, i was merely pointing out that most of the other leagues mentioned are usually far more competitive, once season is not a pattern.

on 28 Feb 2013 21:13No 74 Are you for real? That current Rangers team would be below Dundee in the SPL League table, yous are rotten the now. Theyd be going straight back down!

on 28 Feb 2013 20:06Good job Rangers aren't in the SPL, even though they should be. If they were still there then Celtic wouldn't be top of the league with they way they've been performing.

Dylan McGeoch was brought through the ranks by Rangers. -

I agree with you. I'm talking about clubs who assemble the best players at ridiculous prices. Yes, Celtic bought most of their players, but with a fraction of the money of say, West Ham. You are quite right, but my point is that it is easy to revel in the quality of a league when even the poor teams have ridiculous amounts of money. Relegation from EPL awards more money than winning the SPL. -

Yes you can buy success in Scotland. Look at the team that Celtic, (Chamoions Elect and last 16 Champs League) had out last night:
10 of the starting 11 have been bought by Celtic.
6 for the 7 subs have been bought by Celtic. (I am assuming that McGeouch was brought through by Celtic?
Even the majority of the 1st team players who were not listed last night have been bought. -

on 28 Feb 2013 13:50@19 Bobby, got rid of one half of the ugly sisters? if it wasnt for the "igly sisters" your attendance would read 0 every week. the only people who watched your teams were celtic and rangers fans. certainly motherwell fans dont watch motherwell.
on that, well done to motherwell. celtic were awful and well took the two chances theycreated and deserved to win. -

Sorry but, I don't see how that's interesting. There's no suggestion of what the fouls were and whether they were bookable offences.
I hate to say it but, your comment reads like someone trying to suggest more conspiracy theories when the simple fact is that the better team won last night. -

on 28 Feb 2013 13:42Hmmm , interesting ,........ fouls committed according to BBC stats ...... Motherwell 14 to Celtic 11 , yet 2 Celtic players are booked and no Motherwell players ?

on 28 Feb 2013 13:26Despite what Neil Lennon may suggest it was a thoroughly merrited victory for MFC. All the more impressive given some iffy recent results and a horrendous recent record against both Old Firm sides that had many wondering when we'd beat either again. Great stuff!

on 28 Feb 2013 13:19With 8 clubs still in contention for 3 European places there is plenty of excitement left in the SPL this year. As a Motherwell fan I hope we can get one of those places. 2nd place and the additional money that brings would be a huge bonus.
Last night's performance was excellent and I hope we keep taking our chances in the next 10 games. -

A. why are you here ? didn't know you cared. thought it was celtic fans that were obsessed.

on 28 Feb 2013 13:08The only way to get the crowds up is cut back on the amount of live football on the box while it's freezing in the middle of winter where would you rather be

on 28 Feb 2013 12:34For those who suggest the SPL isn't competitive...there are 6 point separating 2nd and 9th place. Sure Celtic are out in front but, despite the points difference, even they haven't had it their own way this season. They've not even won two thirds of their games. Compare that with other European leagues which already have a 'runaway' winner and you'll see that Celtic aren't exactly ruling the roost
