Steven Noble's own-goal helped Queens Park strengthen their position in second place with a win at Peterhead.
The Blue Toon midfielder miscued into his own net with 12 minutes gone, after good work by Jamie Longworth on the left-side of the area.
Spiders' boss Gardner Speirs was without a host of first-team regulars, but the replacements grasped their chance as the visitors defeated Jim McInally's side for the first time in eight matches.
In the second half they extended their lead as they hit Peterhead on the counter.
After 50 minutes, a cross from Sean Burns found Lawrence Shankland on the right-side of the six-yard box, and the striker converted a low, right-footed shot to inflict a first defeat in five for the hosts.
