Bodmin Town striker Adam Carter scored seven goals against his former club Torpoint Athletic to help his side to a 10-0 over their Cornish rivals.
Carter scored four in the first half before adding three after the break as he ran riot against his old team-mates.
He actually had the ball in the net eight times, but had a goal ruled out for offside.
"Everything he hit last night went in," Bodmin manager Darren Gilbert told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"I believe (it was a club record), we were trying to find out.
"So he's setting records and I think he's gone back to leading goalscorer in the league after a spell without scoring."
Sam Matthews, Shane Krac and Lee Doel scored Bodmin's other goals as they booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Throgmorton Cup thanks to this monumental victory.
And Carter revealed that the most he had ever scored in a match before was actually during his time at Wednesday night's opponents.
"The most I scored was five and that was for Torpoint," Carter said. "I'm buzzing.
"In fairness they were all good team moves really - it was very pleasing."
