Jersey Premiership: Struggling St Ouen get second win

Relegation-threatened St Ouen climbed off the foot of the Jersey Premiership after beating mid-table Grouville 3-0.

Michael Norman, Rupert Murray and Tom Richardson were on target as they got their second win in as many weeks.

They have been replaced at the bottom of the table by St Lawrence, who came away from St Peter with a 1-1 draw.

Phil Kendall was on target for the home side, while Nathan Strzelecki replied for St Lawrence, who are bottom of the Premiership on goal difference.

In the Championship, Trinity got their 11th win from 11 games as they thrashed bottom side St Martin 9-1.

Lee Coogan scored four and Peter Grierson got a hat-trick while there was one each for Eddie Devine and Josh White.

Trinity are now nine points ahead of second-placed St Clement, who won 2-0 at St John thanks to Jimmy Reilly and Noel Kernan's goals, while third-placed First Tower's hopes of promotion took a major hit as they went down 1-0 at Beeches.

It means St Clement are five points clear of Tower with both sides having five games left.

In the day's other match Kamil Adamczak got a hat-trick as Portuguese beat Sporting Academics 5-3.
