@59 considering that most young football fans only pay attention to a players actions on a pitch then it is perfectly reasonable to call Balotelli a bad role model and Giggs a good one. Balotelli's behaviour on a football pitch when he was at city was at time disgraceful. Giggs has been nothing but the perfect professional on the pitch for 20 years.
Ignore the trolls J Horncastle (Eur. f'ball writer, author of this delightful article). Can’t stand hypocrites that claim Balotelli is a poor role model when Ryan Giggs is considered the ultimate despite his ‘sister-in-law abomination’.My friend, a massive AC fan, concurs James: when Mario left for City, many thought it was inevitable he would move to AC.Uber excited, 7:45 ko!
It does annoy me when an ex-player wont celebrate when he scores a goal against a former team, but if a team mate scores, he'll run around shouting his head off.One or the other please lads, Fans obviously don't like it, but people under celebration, especially to your employers
@52 .. yes that one instance seems to be on loop .. care to name the numerous other instances ... oh wait .. he hasn't done anything else. lus it was the ITALIAN TEAM who knocked germany out ...
As usual some mis-guided football fools on here. No doubt Balotelli did himself few favours here, but it didn't really workout for him at City and that happens. But for people to say he's overrated useless blah blah blah stop talking..... When fellow professionals who've played with and against say a player has undoubted talent, skill and potential then you must take note.

Balo was always surrounded by too much negativity during his stay in England. Some of his own making, some from the press etc..Now he's back in Italy, playing for a team he always supported and all that in a better climate. So it's really no surprise that he is performing again. Not a fan of his antics but I can see why Mancini had a soft spot for him.
When he wants to know, he's the business. And he'll want to know today...
@33 Mr Thundercat and everyone else saying Balotelli is a talentless waste of space.'Lack of any note able achievement' I guess knocking Germany out of the World Cup - the game after Germany thrashed England - isn't at all 'note able'. Plenty of English teams will suffer at Balotelli's feet in the Champs League over the next decade - and the national side too most likely. LEGEND - Sturridge NOT
Have to realise that as an Italian he is back in Italy; better climate and also with a real team. No wonder he is happier as at man city like most of the players they don't really want to be there.
