Struggling Nuneaton missed a host of chances as they could only share a goalless draw at Hereford United.
The hosts had the first real opening but Sam Clucas missed the target when well positioned on the edge of the box.
From then on in it was one-way traffic in Boro's favour, with Andy Brown twice seeing efforts fly just wide for the visitors in the first half.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with Wesley York forcing Bulls keeper James Bittner into a fine save.
However, neither side could find the breakthrough, meaning Nuneaton lie a point away from safety, while Hereford find themselves in seventh, but 12 points off the play-offs.
