Forest Green's play-off push suffered a set back with a draw at Cambridge.
It was the two goalkeepers who impressed the most as both sides spurned chances to snatch the win.
U's keeper Craig Ross denied Aarran Racine with a reflex save early on, while Jamie Reed's header forced Sam Russell into action at the other end.
Ross then gifted the ball to Chris Stokes, but his effort was blocked on the line, before Charlie Wassmer saw his header tipped over by Russell.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Forest Green Rovers manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I'm disappointed with a point, but it's a clean sheet which is something that we needed to get into our game.
"We got ragged towards the end of play. We threw on forwards because we want to win games.
"We're playing well, knocking the ball around, keeping possession and we're sort of dominating the game.
"Our challenge now is to put the ball in the back of the net and we haven't done that in the last three games."
