Brechin City's home match against Scottish Second Division leaders Queen of the South, scheduled for Tuesday evening, has been postponed.
The Glebe Park pitch failed an early afternoon inspection and no date has yet been announced for when the match will go ahead.
Brechin have four games in hand on most of their league rivals due to the number of cancelations.
The Angus club issued an apology and say they are exploring solutions.
"The management committee and ground-staff have taken steps over the past weeks to try and improve the situation without much success to date.
"The committee has sought the advice of many parties including drainage and ground-care specialists, parks and roads departments, water board, local councillors and former Glebe Park ground-staff.
"A ground breaking tool has been used on the pitch and all internal drains have been checked to ensure free flow.
"The ground-staff and committee continue to nurse the pitch through this difficult period in the short-term whilst seeking a more long-term solution to the drainage issues.
"All options will be fully considered in our efforts to take the most responsible action in the club's best interest. "
