Lincoln City: Gary Simpson says club must unite to avoid relegation
Lincoln City's new manager Gary Simpson knows avoiding relegation will be tough and has called for the fans support.
"I've watched six times this season. Last week there was an obvious contrast in performance Saturday to Tuesday," he told BBC Lincolnshire
"Everyone needs to pull one way. We need more fans in the stadium to support the lads as we know staying up is going to be very hard."
The Red Imps currently sit 19th in the Blue Square Bet Premier, only two points above the drop zone and they have won just one of their last 12 league games.
Simpson has been out of work for almost a year after Macclesfield Town relieved him of his duties in March 2012.
It is the 51-year-old's second spell at Sincil Bank after serving as Keith Alexander's assistant from 2002 to 2006.
