Alfreton Town 3-0 Ebbsfleet Utd
Alfreton Town moved eight points clear of the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone with a comprehensive victory over struggling Ebbsfleet.
Dan Bradley scored from the spot after leading goalscorer Paul Clayton was fouled by Paul Lorraine.
Alfreton doubled their lead when Ben Tomlinson steered home Clayton's cross from close range.
The Reds got their third goal after 71 minutes as Jordan Rose curled a left-footed effort home from inside the box.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law told BBC Radio Derby:
"I thought first half we were excellent, in total control. Credit to the players; it was a great performance, and a vital three points.
"If I am honest, I would have accepted not getting beaten. They have got some good players. They are a big side and if you allow them, they will dominate you.
"We have defended well as a team, we have done well. I thought it was a great team performance and I thought Jordan Rose came in and did really, really well."
Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish tells BBC Radio Kent:
"I'm disappointed but all credit to Alfreton - they were out of the blocks quicker than us and took their goals well.
"We've not done ourselves justice after Saturday's performance. Inconsistent performances are costing us.
"We didn't get undone by anything clever, we just came across a side that physically dominated us in all areas and didn't let up.
"We came second too many times and that was the story. I thought Clayton caused us problems by his willingness to chase lost causes. He gave our centre-halves something to think about all night."
