Josh Scott scored for the second game running as Dagenham came from behind to deny promotion-chasing Burton.
Lee Bell's deflected strike gave the hosts a deserved first-half lead, after Calvin Zola, Robbie Weir and Alex MacDonald had all wasted good chances.
But Scott, back in the side after a loan spell at Ebbsfleet, levelled for the Daggers with a fine solo goal after the break.
Billy Kee and Weir wasted further chances for Albion as Dagenham held on.
The draw sees the Brewers drop to third in League Two following Port Vale's win at York, while the Daggers are 16th.

Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby:
"I don't think you can ever be arrogant enough to turn your nose up at a point at Dagenham. It's always a difficult place to come.
"I just feel as though we didn't quite do enough in the final third to hurt them as we have done recently.
"Once the strikers got hold of it a little bit and got the ball wide, that's when we got most of our joy, but we just didn't do it often enough."
