Truro City recorded just their third away win of the season as they beat Sutton United 1-0 in the Blue Square Bet South.
Martin Watts grabbed the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute as the White Tigers closed the gap at the foot of the table.
Bottom-of-the-table City are now 13 points off second-from-bottom Billericay in the Conference South.
City remain 16 points off safety with nine games left to play.
