Glasgow City started the defence of their Scottish Women's Premier League title with a 3-2 win over Rangers.

Sarah Crilly, Jo Love and Eilish McSorley were on target for City, with Hollie Thomson and Megan Foley replying for the visitors.

Susan Fairlie scored twice as Hibs beat Aberdeen 4-0 and Forfar Farmington saw off Falkirk by the same score.

Jen Malone scored in the last minute as Hutchison Vale edged newly-promoted Kilwinning 3-2 in Edinburgh.

A wet opening weekend of the season saw the Hamilton v Spartans and Buchan v Celtic matches postponed.
