Rochdale 1-1 Aldershot
Aldershot clambered off the foot of the table on goal difference as Adam Mekki earned them a point at Rochdale.
Danny Rose had a shot for the visitors well saved by Josh Lillis and then crossed for Asa Hall, whose far-post header was hacked off the line.
Rochdale improved after the break and went in front when George Donnelly produced an excellent angled finish.
Mekki levelled when Lillis dropped Ben Herd's free-kick and Shots almost won it when Hall's sidefoot hit the bar.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester:
"It was a free hit for Aldershot. They were trying to drag us into the mix at the bottom. There was a lot of pressure on us today and that showed in our first-half performance.
"In the second half, when we relaxed and we started playing the type of football I know we can, we looked to dominate the momentum and we got it.
"For 10 minutes after that we were superb, but the momentum changed on their goal. It was a sloppy goal."
Aldershot manager Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:
"I think that's the best we've played under my management. We passed the ball well, created lots of chances and their keeper was probably man of the match. We should have won the game.
"The players showed fight, giving everything they've got and certainly our fans would appreciate that. They actually saw us play some good stuff today and there were some very good performances.
"We've created more chances today - more then we have done in a very long time.
"The subs came on and they had an impact. We wanted the players to give everything they've got and show how good they can be and they were today."
