Clyde 2-0 E Stirlingshire

Clyde beat East Stirlingshire in the battle of the bottom two sides in the Scottish Third Division.

The hosts took a deserved lead after 18 minutes when John Sweeney worked an opportunity on the left and Patrick Scullion struck home.

The same player went close to his second nine minutes before the break but saw his header brilliantly tipped around the post by Grant Hay.

Shire had been second-best for most of the half but almost drew level a minute from the break when a 25-yarder from Michael Hunter struck the crossbar.

The visitors huffed and puffed after the break but the game was finally up for them in the second minute of added time when Stuart McColm passed from the left wing and Sweeney swept home his side's second from 18 yards out.
