Dumbarton made it three wins on the bounce with a victory over 10-man Hamilton in a key match at the bottom of the Scottish First Division.
Steven McDougall gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute with a great strike from 18 yards and, 10 minutes later, Accies defender Gary Fisher was sent off for a foul on Paul McGinn.
The Sons doubled their advantage three minutes after the restart when Scott Agnew finished off smart work from McDougall.
Kevin Cuthbert in the Hamilton goal denied Scott Agnew a second before Andrew Ryan pulled a goal back for the home side with a long-range effort.
Dumbarton added a third six minutes from time through McGinn's finish inside the box and survived a late scare when the home side's top scorer Steven May slotted home from six yards three minutes later.
The Sons move above Hamilton into seventh place in the league.
