Crisis-hit Dunfermline rescued a point through Stephen Husband's 90th-minute penalty at Livingston.
The Pars, who have released a host of players after applying to enter administration, went ahead midway through the first half when Ryan Thomson headed home Husband's cross.
The hosts levelled 10 minutes after the restart when Anthony Andreu prodded in from close range and they forged ahead as substitute Marc McNulty converted Iain Russell's cross 12 minutes later.
The Pars were denied by the woodwork as Ross Millen's 30-yard effort crashed onto the bar but Husband stepped up to convert from 12 yards after Coll Donaldson impeded Alex Whittle in the box.
