Manager Gary Locke was delighted by Hearts' late comeback in

Three goals in the space of five minutes turned the match in Hearts' favour.

"They never gave up, showed the spirit that I'm looking for and fortunately we got a good result," Locke told BBC Radio Scotland.

"I'm just glad it's a Saturday night and the Hearts fans can be happy for a change."

Hearts trailed at the break and went 2-1 down after Steffen Wohlfarth scored his second of game just after Michael Ngoo's equaliser.

But a superb volley by Jason Holt, an own goal by Evangelos Ikonomou and Ngoo's second completed a remarkable comeback.

"I'd rather talk about the second half," said Locke when asked about his team's performance. "We weren't at the races [in the first].

"All credit to the lads, second half was much more like the performance I'm expecting."

As well as praising the quality of Holt's goal, Locke also highlighted the contribution of goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald, who made several important saves in the first half.

"I thought Jamie was magnificent and that's what he's there for," added the Hearts boss.

"He pulled off two or three really good saves for us.

"We were under the cosh at times and Ross County, quite rightly, will probably feel aggrieved that they've not taken something from the game.

"I'm delighted for the whole team because it's been a difficult season for not only us but for the supporters as well and everyone connected with the club."
