Shrewsbury Town Manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:
"It was a five-goal thriller, and I thought we dominated things for long periods and we should have taken the sting out of it. Our inexperience meant we almost paid a heavy price.
"It was an enjoyable afternoon, I told the players before kick-off that we are safe, and to go out and enjoy a good performance.
"Seven points out of nine - with the kids in there, the youngsters coming in - I hope the supporters have taken confidence with our finish ahead of next season.
"We should have had one or two more late on in the game and added to the three goals we already had - our strikers have worked really hard up front, and the players have done really well for us."
