James Costello's second half header gave Dungannon Swifts a 1-0 victory over relegated Lisburn Distillery

James Costello was the Swifts super-sub after scoring the only goal in the Premiership clash against relegated and managerless Distillery.

The striker met Terry Fitzpatrick's cross to send a diving header past keeper Billy Brennan on 72 minutes.

Poor finishing and excellent saves from Brennan kept a dominant Dungannon side at bay, especially in the first half.

Stefan Lavery managed to miss an open goal from a yard while Brennan denied PJ Lavery and Chris Lavery.

Stefan Lavery's glaring miss early in the game signalled the start of Dungannon's frustration in front of goal.

The Swifts managed to get the ball past Brennan on 38 minutes but defender Philip Simpson was there to clear PJ Lavery's effort of the line.

Costello scored eight minutes after coming on with fellow substitute Fitzpatrick the provider.

The demoralised Whites rarely threatened although a Jordan Hughes strike brought out a good save from Tuda Murphy in the dying minutes.
