Leicester City: Chris Wood backs Nigel Pearson for play-off push
Leicester City striker Chris Wood says that manager Nigel Pearson has the right qualities to help them back into the Championship play-offs.
The Foxes host Watford on Friday and are currently a point outside the top six in seventh place, despite having been second at the end of January.
Wood told BBC Radio Leicester: "He's a great manager.
"He does the business, he gets his teams set up right and gets everything prepared well."
Pearson led Leicester out of League One in 2009 but lost in the Championship play-off semi-finals the following year.
He left the Foxes and took over at Hull, before returning in November 2011.
"We just have to go out there and execute it because Nigel gives us all the tools to do it," added Wood.
"I am hoping we get these next two wins and a few results go our way.
"Then we can rest easy, but it probably won't look like that and will all come down to the final day.
"We just need to make sure we do the business."
Leicester play fellow play-off candidates Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season.
