Berwick maintained their place in the Scottish Third Division promotion play-off zone, despite defeat by Annan Athletic.

After Steven Notman and Kevin McDonald had been denied by visiting goalkeeper Alex Mitchell, Scott Chaplain volleyed Annan ahead before half-time.

Rangers were reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute when Lee Currie received a second booking.

And the visitors secured all three points with Martin McNiff's 35-yard strike in the closing seconds.
