Montrose 1-2 Queen's Park

Montrose are unlikely to reach the Scottish Third Division play-offs after losing to Queen's Park.

Defeat by the Spiders, who have already secured a play-off berth, leaves the Gable Endies three points off fourth place with one match to play and an inferior goal difference to both Berwick Rangers and Elgin City.

Anthony Quinn headed Queen's Park ahead at Links Park just before half-time.

Martin Boyle lashed home Montrose's equaliser on the hour but Scott Gibson's close-range effort gave the visitors all three points.

Both teams had a man sent off in the closing stages with Queen's Park's Giuseppe Capuano receiving a second booking before David Gray was dismissed for violent conduct.
