Stenhousemuir 1-2 Stranraer

A brace from Craig Malcolm helped Stranraer win at play-off hopefuls Stenhousemuir to secure their place in the Second Division.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Malcolm slotted into the bottom corner from 12 yards in the fourth minute

John Gemmell, Stenhousemuir's leading goalscorer, pushed for the equaliser and he found it at the second attempt after seeing his penalty saved by David Mitchell.

With everything to play for the next goal was vital and Ross McMillan came close for the hosts only to see his header hit the crossbar.

And Stranraer took the lead just before the break when Nicholas Devlin brought down Darren Gribben to concede a penalty.

Malcolm drilled the spot kick into the top corner to claim his 19th goal of the season.

The visitors proved too difficult to break down and a frustrating day for the hosts came to an end with Greg Ross being dismissed for a second bookable offence.
