Apart from the one flare, don't think Iv'e seen one of those at Wembley, the game went off without incident. A tight match which on balance merited a draw.
@ 464 mufc And I always want England to do well (except v. Ireland). Half of my mates are English & we are neighbours after all. Heck, I even want Everton to do well!!!
@ 475 WayneselbowBrilliant. The way it should be. Like to up you 5 times but BBC won't even allow me 1.
It was a very spirited game, some outstanding goalkeeping , and England will need to sharpen up playing Brazil. The security at stadiums could be greatly improved with better preparation , its difficult to contend with alcohol and hooliganism but more could be done.
It seems stange that we qualify for having the ability to out class the social football worms but in the real world we are as meek as sheep. It may concern those that are equal to naivity that a team are so dissapointedly that we continue to harbour hope constantly.
I was at the match in Dublin in1995 Itook my 10 year old son as his birthday present and he wore his England shirt despite the fact we were surrounded by Irish supporters When the trouble flared feared for our safety and some Irish supporters noticed my concerns and they walked us back to our hotel had a drink and we have remained friends since Four of us went to tonites match Brill nite
472 They have to find some silly mugs to Give them over the top wages
It was only a boring friendly, that's all.
459If England is so bad I ask why all your players ply their trade in Britain. Seems strange if Britain is as bad as you say.
That match was fantastic!... It's a pity that it was only a friendly as I'd have liked to see extra time. I might watch some paint dry, instead, by way of a substitute.
