David Martin: Goalkeeper extends MK Dons contract
MK Dons keeper David Martin has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 27-year-old, who finished the season sidelined by a back injury, was set to be out of contract this summer.
"Over the past three years he has matured in to one of the best goalkeepers in the League, his first touch is fantastic, his shot-stopping is excellent.
"On top of what he offers on the pitch he is also an excellent ambassador in the city," said boss Karl Robinson.
He continued: "Ian McLoughlin has come in over the past few months and done a wonderful job, we're going to offer Ian a contract as well and hopefully the two of them can fight for a place next year."
Martin started his career at Wimbledon and remained with the club when it moved to Milton Keynes.
He left for Liverpool in 2006, but rejoined MK as Robinson's first signing four years later.
