Ian Dunbavin signs Accrington Stanley contract to 2015
Goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin has agreed a new two-year contract with League Two side Accrington Stanley.
The 32-year-old must first pass a medical however, having which required an operation.
Dunbavin joined Accrington in 2006 and has played 164 times for the club.
"It's an honour to play for the club and I'll carry on doing so to the best of my ability," he told the club website.
"Last year was full of ups and downs personally. The form I was in was the best I've ever played, not only for Accrington but in my career, so I was devastated to learn that I was going to miss the rest of the season with the injury.
"It's been a case of just getting on with it, having the operation and getting back to being around the lads and giving them my full backing really."
Dunbavin joins in committing his future to Accrington, who remain without a manager following
The club will hold interviews this week, with and ex-Stanley manager John Coleman among those linked with the post.
