Gateshead sign ex-Hartlepool striker Colin Larkin
Gateshead have signed former Chesterfield and Hartlepool striker Colin Larkin after a spell at Blue Square Bet North side Harrogate Town.
Larkin, 30, scored seven goals in 23 games for divisional rivals Lincoln City before moving to Harrogate at the end of last term.
"Colin is a top player and a good professional," said Tynesiders boss Anth Smith.
"He has plenty of experience at a higher level."
Smith added: "He is a good all round player who can play through the middle or out wide. He will bring pace and a good work ethic to the table.
"I tried to sign him when he was at Lincoln and am pleased to now bring him to Tyneside."
The striker began his career at Wolves but made just three appearances before moving to Mansfield, and also lists Kidderminster and Northampton among his former clubs.
