@462 Correction ...Keegan gave 14 (not 12) young MCFC academy players their first team debuts and Joe Royle gave the first 2 ever academy grads - SWP and Terry Dunfield - their starts before him. My point is that RM has given more first team debuts in a much shorter time frame than his 3 predecessors combined and has equaled the combined total of Keegan and Royle also within a shorter time span.
As for claims that Mancini didn't do enough in the area of youth development, 16 EDS players were given 1st team debuts under RM during his 3.5 year reign, which is 5 more than the total of Academy graduates produced under the combined helms of Stuart Pearce, Sven-Göran Eriksson & Mark Hughes in the 4.75 year period before RM was appointed. Kevin Keegan minted 12 new graduates during his tenure.
Whatever people think of Mancini's management style there are very few managers available for hire right now that can match, let alone better, his win % nor his current tally of cups. Winning one Intertoto Cup almost a decade ago hardly puts Pellegrini in same league! This may be another Scolari disaster in the making for City. Mourinho or Benitez would be far better choices and Rafa is available.
Are City broken !! 2nd in the prem isn't too bad
Has this happened yet?
I'll just comment on the team I support.
456.PaulLake1975 But what makes football the great spectacle it is, is the chance to discuss and voice opinions, football would be a very boring sport if we were not able to have discussions with rival fans!
It's what we do that count not what other teams do. We should just concentrate on ourselves.
454.PaulLake1975 You might not but alot of other city fans do!Fans fro other clubs are allowed to voice their opinions you know. It is kinda what these boards are for!!
I don't care about Moyes so why should Utd fans care about Pellegrini?
Really? that's against the rules?Bit extreme.
@450Dead right mate, many many teams would love to ave had the season we've had. City are growing and growing. With whats happening at east manc. the increase in capacity things are changing and EVERBODY knows it. It'l take time and mistakes may happen on the way, along with the odd set back, but its far far far from broken. People might not want to admit it but inside the KNOW it, CTID
