Colin Cameron extends stay as Cowdenbeath manager
Former Scotland midfielder Colin Cameron has signed a new one-year contract to remain manager of Cowdenbeath.
The 40-year-old made 23 appearances as the Blue Brazil avoided the relegation play-off spot on a dramatic final day of the Division One season.
Cowdenbeath's website states he "is now looking to build a new and exciting squad for the season ahead".
Cameron last season led the Fife club to the Division Two title.
They found the First Division tough this season and looked like finishing ninth even though neighbours Dunfermline Athletic were docked 15 points for going into administration.
However, in a final-day turnaround, Cowden recorded a as the Pars stumbled at home to already-relegated Airdrie United.
Cameron is in his first managerial job after a playing career that took him to Raith Rovers, Sligo Rovers, Hearts, Wolves, Millwall, Coventry City, MK Dons, Dundee and Arbroath before Central Park.
