Surprised that Andy has to think on the offer of a permanent position. West ham will be so much better with him and he with us. Plus the club will hopefully move forward big time when it moves to the big stadium. If they really go for mop style seating could get to 80000 and WHU can fill it
over rated Liverpool you don't need him no top club wants him he should stay where he is.
LFc should take him back, let them have options. Can only be a good thing. One game Suarez and or Stuuridge may be not getting the run, introduce Andy, change the dynamics.
Sam wants Carroll he reminds me of the old style battling forward with physical strength ,his heading makes goals for himself and the team his age provides a long time within the team ,if he can stay injury free,as all ways it is down to cash, there are other strikers west ham could pursue at lower costs ,but Sam knows Carroll and Nolan bond together
Liverpool should bring Andy back and give him a proper go at Anfield. He gives alot of other attacking options - especially on crosses where we are a bit light ( except for Agger and Skrtel on corners etc ) which he could get on the end of.Give the lad a chance .. IF he wants to come back. Hes done really well at West Ham and could do a good job for Liverpool too!Either way I wish him well.
Fat Mike wants Andy back and Rodgers wants Ben Arfa, therein lies the most likely deal, plus Carroll will not have to take a 40% pay cut.
45. TheTruth ...AC is more a Toshack, Collymore, Heskey, Crouch type player, not bad company. A big lad (and we dont have many at the moment) with a decent touch, who I think will get better (believe same of Jordan H). Dont wanna lose 15-20 million on him so bring him back and give him a chance. Dont forget Suarez banned for first 4 games of season.
Really want this to happen. LFC were mugged off by Newcastle at that bonkers price of £35m and I think this will def happen for around £14m a far more realistic price. Big rumours around right now at UP that a deal will be done in a few weeks.. LFC's loss will be our gain for sure.
MeesterB you have a point mate!we reds are eternal optimists (or deluded as the MU trolls keep telling us) & like to think we're on the way up not down. LFC also have play a certain way - a bit like WHU used to - it's for that reason alone the like of roy hodgson & AC were a mistake even though I'm sure AC will make an impact either at WHU,NUFC or stoke or similar. Good luck to him he aint LFC.
AC is doing well because he is playing with Nolan, with whom he has a great understanding, in a team set up to play to his strengths. He is more valuable to West Ham (and happier there) than he would be to LFC, so a deal will probably be done.
@85 Ignitionpoint. I agree with you. AC started to look the real deal in his latter games for LFC. Then BR goes shopping for Borini! Ah well, he got Sturridge and he is impressive. Big Sam wants him big-time and I hope LFC don't live to regret, should AC go to WHU. If the transfer happens. Hope Sam takes Joe Allen too( On a Free ).
I would hazard a guess that West Ham can't afford to buy Carroll. And LFC won't allow him to leave for less than £15 million. So the guy will probably be on his way back to LFC anyway.
I for one want carroll to come back to lfc he was awesome at end of the previous season and frightened the life out of chelsea in the cup, he shouldn't have been sent on loan after that and given a fair crack cus ti be honest we had no plan b before jan and even now i'd say sturridge isn't a plan b more like plan a with a bit extra pace on saurez. So i'd keep him for a plan b
@82 - TheTruthNot good enough for LFC? He's an idol at West Ham; a team who finished only 3 places below your boys and are on the way up rather than on the way down. I think some of you Reds need to take a reality check - it isn't the eighties any more
@82 The Truth. I don't want Suarez to leave LFC. For me he is second only to Mr Messi! Just looking at all the options. I think Carroll is a better player now for his loan to WHU. All the Henderson knockers have gone quiet. Heard the same thing that he was not good enough. KD said he would take a couple of seasons to develop! Downining? Well I lost faith in him big time. He has now woken up too!
Carroll staying at Lpool wouldn't be a gd move for the club. He isnt gd enough for LFC + wouldn't start anyway, as Suarez & Sturridge are far superior players. As for Suarez, he wont be sold. The only way he will leave will be if he wants out & forces a move. The club arent idiots + dont listen to the bandwagon jumpers - he is world class & wont be the last footballer who behaves inappropriately.
I don't think BR style suited Carrol at all. When you look how Sturridge and Couhtinio have settled in, could Carrol just slot back into the first team? Good luck to him wherever he plays and sods law he'll score against LRFC next season
