Salisbury City: Robbie Matthews among six released
Robbie Matthews is among six players released by Salisbury after their promotion to the Conference Premier.
The 31-year-old forward, in his second spell at his hometown club, helped them secure promotion via the play-offs.
However, he has been released along with Mark Scott, Ugo Udoji, Matt Clark, Rhys Baggridge and Cameron Hough.
Theo Lewis, Callum Hart, Dan Fitchett, James Clarke, Brian Dutton, Ryan Brett, Stuart Sinclair and Robbie Sinclair have been offered new deals.
And Jamie White, Ricky Wellard and Chris McPhee have already agreed to extend their contract with the club.
"It's the worst part of the job," manager Darrell Clarke told BBC Wiltshire after announcing the list of released players.
"You're judging a player on whether you think they can handle the level up, theoretically unemploying the player you think can't do that - but I'm not frightened to change squads if I believe that's the right thing to do.
"Experience is going to be absolutely crucial next season. We're going to have some very difficult games at some very big football clubs, but we relish and look forward to it."
