Fenerbahce win Turkish Cup final with Moussa Sow goal
Fenerbahce retained the Turkish Cup as a goal from Moussa Sow was enough to beat Trabzonspor 1-0 in Ankara.
The Europa League semi-finalists had ended the league season 10 points behind champions Galatasaray but took the cup for a second straight year.
The only goal came when Senegalese striker Sow ran on to a pass from Mehmet Topal and fired in a low shot.
Sow went close to adding a second while Adrian Mierzejewski had Trabzonspor's best effort with a shot that went wide.
Fenerbahce's Brazilian midfielder Cristian Baroni had a free-kick well saved by Tolga Zengin as Aykut Kocaman's side held on.
The Istanbul club celebrated their win by announcing the signing of Eskisehirspor midfielder Alper Potuk, 22, on a five-year deal.
