Chester sign Danny Harrison from Tranmere Rovers
Conference Premier new boys Chester have signed midfielder Danny Harrison following his release by League One side Tranmere Rovers.
The 30-year-old is manager Neil Young's fifth signing since the end of a season when Chester won Blue Square Bet North.
Harrison has made 326 Football League appearances during two spells at Tranmere and five years at Rotherham.
"Danny has a great hunger to come in and take us forward in our first season in the Conference," said Young.
"He had many options to stay full time in the Conference but decided that staying close to home and being part of a project and challenge with Chester was too good to turn down."
Meanwhile, captain George Horan has signed a new deal with Chester for next season.
