I see new CE is going to tackle Rangers enemies (yawn). He seems to forget that Rangers were VILLANS not victims & were wound up by the courts. Their enemies are therefore former owners, officials and employees of the club who spent more than they earned and engaged in the immoral EBTs. The football community has been fair with Rangers - its about time Rangers reciprocated & grew up
Smith is a decent wee player, lets face it, Rangers are not going to sign any good players with any kind of ambition, the pay is good and that's what they want, Stevie will play for the badge, that is what's needed!
Can I please urge everyone in future to not vote YNWA comments down, becuase they end up being at the bottom of the pile, and still in the spotlight. If we left the comments rated at 0, nobody would even see them!!!! DONT RATE LIVERPOOL FAN COMMENTS, DONT GIVE THEM THE PUBLICITY.
The whole story was in reference to the signing of your ex player not the chairman who i agree had a very succesful career as rangers manager. i can give credit where it is due regardless of what club it is.
I'm not sure he's entirely right about that either..... Smith is a squad player - a good journeyman type player. Not necessarily a bad thing for a team playing in Divn2 to have players like that. I think he'd be okay in Divn1 against some sides.....
120: I think he means Stevie, not Walter.....
@120 i was clearly referring to the player Smith!
@119 Much as I enjoy poking the Berr's, I've gotta disagree with you completely. At DU he was McLeans assistant and did superbly. He was the architect of GS's success before being successful himself and it was latterly that Rangers changed the pay structure so his titles are pretty much in good order. He took Everton from potential relegation/administration and made them safe. He was great for Sco
Smith was very poor at every club he has been too. Without people thinking i am just slagging another rangers story, i am not but he is poor. Maybe division 2 is his standard.
???????? 2 more signings , transfer ban ??????? supose it will be said no advantage gained
Show liquidation the red card. What was the point of that?2 superb signings here. Ramsdens cup on its way to Ibrox next year...
I get it that Rangers are still a big club in Scotland but I really don't get why any player would want to be playing in a lower league in Scotland. That means they have at least another two years before they can play in the SPL. Is that the sign of a player that wants to test themselves at the best level they can, or one that just wants to play in easy games?
@107 There is a limit to the number of players over the age of 21 that can be registered (22 I think). The young players you name are set for less game time this coming season...
Once again a Rangers story delivers more views from non Rangers fans, than stories about their own teams can generate. This only compounds the view that Scottish Football is all about Rangers, as its all anyone seems to care about. I'm sure most on here can read, and this is a story about Rangers signing players, and has nothing to do Newco/Oldco.
The obsession continues,if we are not the same club why do celtic fans care bout us.So sad they win the double and last 16 in champions league, n all they want to talk about is rangers, yet the call us sevco or newco and think they are being clever. No wonder scottish football is on its knees.Concentrate on ur own club.we are the only show in town,no matter what anyone says rangers r same club to me
another 2 players with no ambition ...... shame really
Andrew, you can bang on about "new club" all you like, you're welcome to remain wrong for the rest of your life if it keeps you happy. The bottom line is that LNS, the SFA, the SFL, the SPL, the ECA all have said its still the same club with history intact. You might disagree with their opinion, you might even have a logical contrary argument. But your opinion doesn't count and theirs does.
