So why didn't they just loan him with an option/obligation to buy if they stayed in the Premiership? They could have paid a £500k loan fee to AnjiWait...Is that what happened? Was there some regulation that would have prevented a legitimate loan, so they cooked up this non-sense?We buy him, then sell him back to you in 6 months (3 of which Anji weren't playing) for slightly less
Anzi could have offered £4m and ive no doubt QPR would have accepted it. Definately some dodgy dealings going on.
@simonjakarta Whilst I agree that footballers wages are FAR to high 100,000 a year would be far too low. The average length of a footballers carear is 20 years. Whatever money they make in that 20 years they have to live off for the rest of their lifes (no pension fund) and its a risky carear in the sense of not making it/ injury ending early. still too high though
Any comment from the FA or PL on this. talk about bad business by the owners of QPR. its embarrassing that these muppets are in charge of our clubs. This would not be tolerated in the bundeslige. What hit have QPR taken over this? £13m!!! Madness.
Samba, 110k a week...he he he he he outragous, he's sub standard, he'd struggling in the championship. Anzi manager must be a right chump
There has never been real SAMBA football at QPR. His salary ridiculous but with a numb owner in charge at Loftus Road ruining the whole season for the Hoops with throwing cash around all over the place what can you expect next season?? definitely not a return to PL !! League 1 maybe !!
Losing players & employing McLaren. League One next season I think. Wonder what odds I would get.....
Seriously 100,000 quid per week ? A very comfortable, wage would be about 100,000 / YEAR. Even that, for a job requiring no real nous is excessive. If an NHS doctor is worth about 100,000 / year, surely even the top footballers should only be worth half of that. The salaries of pro-footballers globally is utterly scandalous, they provide a non-essential service & should be boycotted en-mass
To be fair to the fools in charge of QPR, this is actually a fantastic bit of business. Almost makes up for getting relegated, so long as they come straight back up. Which they probably won't.
Fascinating.....infinitely more important and interesting though, why on another story, entitled 'Premier League and Sport England reveal funding drive', are there no comments allowed? Patience wearing thin with the british buffonery corporation....
Great player, but not worthy of that much money every week.
I'd be very surprised if it was 12 million straight cash, I should imagine it is stage payments depending on performance, I think the 12 million release by the club is a declaration to cover up yet another bad deal by Harry. Don't forget to add the 100 grand a week to the bill of relegation
Good luck getting bassong xD OTBC
Watched him at Villa when we played QPR, he really handled Benteke well for about 60 minutes, then seemed to tire very quickly. Looked at old 29 by the end of the game. I would have 7-8m was more his value, the Rs were slightly distressed buyers. But good sale, get Bassong or someone in for Championship.
